Bulk mode saves time when you need thumbnails from a playlist, a research list, or several videos in a content library. Instead of pasting one link, waiting, and starting again, you can process multiple YouTube URLs in one request.
When bulk extraction helps
Use bulk mode when you are auditing a channel, preparing a content calendar, comparing competing videos, or organizing assets you have permission to use. The extractor accepts one URL per line and keeps failed links separate from successful results.
How to download multiple thumbnails
- Turn on Bulk mode on the homepage.
- Paste YouTube watch, youtu.be, Shorts, Embed, or Live links. Put each link on a new line.
- Select Extract Thumbnails and wait for the previews.
- Review each video, then download the size you need. Use Download All to save the highest listed size for each successful URL.
Choose the right image size
YouTube may publish up to five thumbnail files for a video: 1280×720, 640×480, 480×360, 320×180, and 120×90. The largest file is useful for editing and presentations, while smaller files work for quick previews. Not every video has every size, so check the preview before you use the image.
Fix links that fail
A private, deleted, age-restricted, or malformed video URL may not return metadata. Check that the link opens on YouTube and contains an 11-character video ID. If a batch contains both valid and invalid links, the extractor lists the failed URLs so you can correct and retry them without rebuilding the whole batch.
Respect thumbnail rights
Downloading an image does not transfer copyright. Use thumbnails you created, images you have permission to reuse, or material covered by an applicable legal exception. Keep the source video URL with your project notes so you can confirm ownership later.
